Spill retention barrier
The spill retention barriers from Angel Mir are designed to contain large spills and prevent the discharge of hazardous substances generated by the industries, as well as contaminated waters from firefighting. They are also suitable to protect against flooding in industrial units, loaidng docks area or car parks, especially those located in flood-prone areas.
A particular feature of the barriers to retain harmful substances is their special sealing technology, based on a very flexible foam, highly resistant to the chemical products and which is also fire retardant.
The mechanical retention barriers are manufactured with the highest quality materials to guarantee total safety of people and environment. In addition, all spill barriers and retention systems are authorized nationally and internationally.
Models of spill retention barriers:
- Swing of 1 or 2 sheets
- Vertical (pivoting) 1 or 2 sheets

The different models of barriers can be installed in front of the door opening or inside concrete or steel embankments, as they adapt perfectly to all needs. The spill barrier does not affect the daily performance of the business, even though the retaining wall opening is normally open to traffic. In the event of an accident, the automatic barrier closes thanks to the pneumatic system that activates it through the fire extinguishing control signal of the plant, or remotely, achieving the sealing of the discharge. There are also some models of manual barriers.
It should be noted that some of these spill barriers are suitable for a wide range of areas with explosive atmospheres EX-Zones.
