The necessary equipment for efficient e-commerce logistics
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, many consumers have changed their consumption habits to join online shopping. During confinement, the increase in sales in e-commerce has been spectacular, and experts agree that this trend will continue when we return to normal.
The logistics sector has undergone a major transformation in recent years and will now require new storage and transport solutions that may involve the construction of new loading docks, so it is essential to determine the necessary logistics equipment for each case. Logistics warehouses currently must respond to two types of demands; on one hand, e-commerce with small and varied orders, returns, speed of delivery, etc., on the other, traditional commerce, with a lot of stock and larger orders. Each one requires different transports; while traditional commerce uses trucks, trailers or containers, e-commerce does so with vans and delivery trucks. The latter integrates as a whole a flexible dock shelter ACH that, thanks to its inflatable head, allows it to be adjusted to the height of all vehicles, ensuring a good sealing able to protect the merchandise from dust or insects. On the other hand, it can also include a KVAN fiberglass or aluminium manual walkway with a special design for vans.
