Fire rated sliding doors with CE marking
Recently, we have obtained the CE marking certification of fire resistance for our fire rated sliding doors, placing them in a privileged position within the sector.
Since September 2019, the CE marking of industrial fire-resistant doors is mandatory in accordance with the harmonized standard UNE EN 16034: 2015, a more restrictive and also rigorous regulation in compliance with the requirements that are set forth in the European market.
After intense work by our R&D department, we have overcome a homologation process that includes samples, tests and manufacturing control inspections by the notified body Applus, obtaining the CE marking for the EI2-120 and EI1-240 fire-resistant sliding doors, both with in-house panels and a white pre-lacquered finishing.
Specifically, it has certified the EI2-120 fire door tested on both sides, with a passage door without socle which opens into the oven, allowing it to be configured to be opened in both directions. On the other hand, the EI1-240 fire door tested on one side with the elements not exposed to fire, and which can be supplied in those more demanding markets that require EI1. Given the high resistance to fire, this door is ideal to divide areas having high risk of fire, such as places to charge batteries, warehouses for flammable products, etc. It is also important to note that the two certifications include category B, which will allow us to manufacture the doors in a much greater dimension than the one tested, reaching 7 meters wide by 6 meters high.
As well, other models of fire rated doors have the CE marking, such as the EI-90 guillotine fire doors tested on both sides and the sectional fire doors up to EI-90, both with category B. We keep working in this direction to reach new landmarks that provide maximum safety and reliability to its products.
