Doors and logistical equipment to comply with Food Certifications

Nowadays, all operators in the food and agriculture sector are governed by the two main international certifications regarding quality and food safety, the BRC Food* and the IFS**. Because of that and thanks to the built up experience in this market, Angel Mir has developed more specialized and even specific doors and logistical equipment to help to comply with these regulations. This is so for the whole range of the high speed doors; flexible doors for intensive use with fold up canvas system or rolling canvas system designed for high speed openings, the sectional doors of sandwich panel; robust doors with a high resistance and a high level of sealing, the Isoperfect Plus system for loading and unloading; set of products that offer a perfect isothermal sealing in loading bays, or the inflatable dock shelters; which offer a high level of insolation and maintain a stable temperature due to its inflatable connection system.

By the most appropriate choice of the above mentioned products, the regulations are met, high economic costs are avoided and a maximum power saving is achieved. Angel Mir is aware of this and offers advice and support to its customers, therefore accomplishing their projects with the most durable and suitable equipment for each application.

* The regulation BRC Global Standard for Food Safety has been developed in the UK and has been made specifically to help distributors to fulfil the food and agriculture safety and consumer protection. It has international recognition and today is considered a mandatory requirement to operate in the food sector. Its purpose is to guarantee that suppliers and distributors provide a good quality and safety management system of the food products by controlling the environmental conditions of facilities, products, processes and staff.

** The IFS – International Food Standard - meets the international requirements (GFSI) and has been carried out by German, French and Italian distributors in order to direct the suppliers some requirements of food safety and quality control for their food products. The first standard was published in 2003 and was the IFS Food, affecting the companies devoted to food modification or packaging. IFS Logistics was the second standard in 2006, and has meant for suppliers ensuring the security in the supply chain related to all logistical activities regarding food and non-food products, such as activities linked to transport, storage, distribution, loading and unloading, etc. The IFS Logistics Standard encompasses logistical activities where companies have a physical contact with the packaged products and dealing with bulk products.
